Chandradip Development Society is a non-governmental developmental organization operating at the grassroots level. Established on July 1, 1999, under the Ministry of Social Welfare in Barisal District, it aims to promote socio-economic development among the vast Barisal region's neglected, disadvantaged, and marginalized communities.

Initially focused on empowering underserved women in the slums behind Pashupur in Barisal, through income-generating activities, it gained prominence with financial assistance from Rabobank Foundation, Netherlands, on August 31, 2000. It registered with the Department of Social Services of Bangladesh on February 24, 2004, and the Bangladesh NGO Bureau on February 24, 2004, achieving full-fledged self-expression for development in southern Bangladesh.

The organization has gradually registered with the Ministry of Women and Youth in Bangladesh. Chandradip Development Society is implementing 28 projects in 9 upazilas of Barisal and Bhola districts with the support of various national and international donors, benefiting more than 88,000 beneficiaries under these projects. With a community-based development approach, the Chandradip Development Society is successfully implementing and expanding its programs in the Chandradip region.
