Chandradip Development Society (CDS) spearheaded the "Cage Aquaculture for Greater Economic Security (CAGES)" project in partnership with CARE. This initiative aimed to empower women aquaculture farmers in Barisal District through training, distribution of aquaculture cages, and robust monitoring efforts. With a budget of BDT 200,000, CDS aimed to enhance economic security and sustainability within local communities. The project, operational from April 2001 to December 2002, sought to uplift livelihoods and promote environmental stewardship through innovative aquaculture practices.
